Host: HFES Student Chapter at Georgia Tech

The HFES student chapter at Georgia Tech is pleased to host the September meeting for the Atlanta chapter. The meeting will take place at the Aware home, and start off with a tour of the Aware Home itself. Refreshments will be provided courtesy of the Student Chapter. Below is a brief description of Aware Home.

The Aware Home

The Aware Home Research Initiative at Georgia Tech is devoted to the multidisciplinary exploration of emerging technologies and services based in the home. Starting in 1998, the collection of faculty and students has created a unique research facility that allows them to simulate and evaluate user experiences with off-the-shelf and state-of-the-art technologies. With specific expertise in health, education, entertainment and usable security, they are able to apply their research to problems of significant social and economic impact.
